Somatic specialist, emotional well-being coach, author, facilitator, and podcaster

Tamu Thomas is a facilitator, somatic specialist, and author of “Women Who Work Too Much”. She partners with organisations to create people-first workplaces where wellbeing and high performance are not in conflict. With over 15 years’ experience in social work and behaviour change, Tamu uses trauma-informed, evidence-based methods, drawing from Polyvagal Theory and Positive Psychology to help teams reduce burnout, improve focus, and build inclusive, sustainable cultures.

Her facilitation approach blends nervous system awareness with practical strategy, supporting organisations to address the hidden costs of overperformance, such as disengagement, stress, and talent loss, while embedding long-term practices that promote belonging, psychological safety, and resilience. She creates reflective, actionable spaces that help teams shift mindset and behaviour at both individual and organisational levels.

Tamu has worked with clients including AMS and Ralph Lauren, equipping leaders and teams with tools to align wellbeing with performance. Her work supports cultural change by helping businesses connect emotional health to measurable outcomes, fostering environments where people feel seen, supported, and able to thrive. This leads to more engaged employees and healthier, more innovative organisations.
