Anne Usher MBE

She/her

Paralympian and inspirational speaker

Anne is a gold medal winning Paralympian from the 2016 Paralympics. She is a professional working mother who overcame injury to reach the top step of the podium. Anne has been invited to speak at events for a significant breadth of audience; from institutions such as Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster, through a vast range of corporate clients and sporting associations, to schools and at charity galas. Anne’s interesting, inspiring and humorous story is often used to bring an event to life. Anne has worked with Moving Ahead since 2016, including supporting a now regular workshop on resilience for The Guardian’s Leading Edge program. Anne’s inspirational story helps participants take an objective view on what is possible in their own lives and workplace. The use of her sporting analogy, of overcoming adversity and how she achieved unlikely success, allows participants to reflect on their own lives and experiences more objectively.
